What We Offer | Mentors

If you experienced a mental health challenge in college, you have an intimate understanding of the difficulties our students are going through; feeling alone, ashamed about falling behind their classmates, and scared that they will not achieve their goals. As a mentor, you can help make this process easier for our students by being the confidant and friend that can relate to them in a way that no one else can.

Being a mentor can be very rewarding. It allows you to draw on your experience, share what you have learned, and turn what might have been a great challenge in your life into something positive.

Because another student is relying on you, mentors must commit to spending one hour a week with their mentee over the course of 6 months. This time can be spent in any way you choose and is scheduled by you and your mentee. College Re-Entry requires that all mentors attend a one-time training.
