Fountain House proud to be the North American charity partner of Jo Malone London

An increasing number of young adults find their goals derailed by the onset of mental health struggles and this disruption can cause years of paralysis, depression and social isolation. In response, Fountain House has developed a national youth-focused College Re-Entry program for academically engaged 18- to 30-year-old students who, having withdrawn from their studies, are given the tools they need to return to college and successfully achieve their educational goals. For more than 70 years, Fountain House has empowered people living with serious mental illness to live and thrive in society.

Jo Malone London’s mission has always been to create products that make people feel good, physically and emotionally. For almost 10 years, Jo Malone has supported those living with mental health challenges through their UK charity program, empowering people to recover, reconnect and grow.

In May 2021, Jo Malone is extending their mission to North America with a new partnership with Fountain House, a leading mental health organization.

Jo Malone London will support Fountain House with the launch of the White Lilac & Rhubarb Charity Home Candle. For each White Lilac & Rhubarb Charity Home Candle sold in the U.S., Jo Malone London will donate 70% of the purchase price, less tax (between May 13, 2021 and May 13, 2022) to Fountain House, supporting the growth and expansion of its youth initiative and College Re-Entry program.

“The need to address mental health problems and normalize conversations around those that may be living with painful personal challenges is more important than ever. We are delighted to announce our partnership with Fountain House, expanding our commitments and our Charity Candle initiative to America. Fountain House is leading the way in encouraging conversations and offering young people much needed support. Their focus on education and supporting the most vulnerable members of the community align perfectly with Jo Malone London’s mission to stamp out stigmas around mental health, encouraging people to reconnect and grow. Together we hope to shine a light on mental health.” Jean-Guillaume Trottier, Jo Malone London Global Brand President.

“Fountain House is thrilled to be partnering with Jo Malone London on the acceleration of our College Re-Entry program. This joint venture will help our organization to intervene and positively change the trajectory for so many young people at a critical juncture in their lives. We know that COVID has only exacerbated the mental health challenges and acute sense of isolation faced by our youth, and we are extremely grateful for Jo Malone London’s generous support as we work to help those struggling reach their academic goals, planting a seed for a brighter future.” – Ashwin Vasan, M.D., Ph.D, Fountain House President and Chief Executive Officer.

The White Lilac & Rhubarb Charity Home Candle evokes the delightful scent of a summer garden in early bloom. Tart and vibrant rhubarb cuts through delicate floral notes of soft lilac, sensual rose and sun-loving heliotrope.

The White Lilac & Rhubarb Charity Home Candle will be available exclusively at and Jo Malone London stores from May 13, 2021.
