Frequently Asked Questions

How will I spend my time at College Re-Entry?

Our center is open to students from 10:00am-6:00pm Monday through Thursday and Friday by appointment.

Does College Re-Entry provide medication and therapy?

No, it does not. Our program provides a bridge between clinical services and college by helping students create an action plan for their return and develop skills they need to do well both in and outside the classroom.

Can I be a part of your program if I’m still in school?

Yes, as long as you are able to attend the 14-week Core program in person. Programming is held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11:00am-5:00pm

Can I be a part of your program if I do not live in New York? Do you offer housing?

College Re-Entry requires in-person participation for the first 14 weeks (during our Core program). We do not offer housing yet, but can suggest some housing options if you live outside the New York City metro area.

How large are the classes?

To ensure each student gets individualized attention and a healthy group dynamic, we limit class size to a maximum of 10 students.

When can I start?

Students start with our Core program, which is a 14-week semester that we offer 3 times a year: January, May and September.  We accept applications on a rolling basis.

Do I need to return to the school I attended in the past?

Not necessarily. We help students find the appropriate school and major for them. Some of our students return to the school they were enrolled in, others choose to transfer to a different college.

What is the length of the program?

Students first participate in our Core program, a 14-week semester that requires them to attend classes at our center. They then move into our Flex program, an additional 14-weeks of one-on-one support that can be either in person or remote.

What is the cost of the program?

Tuition is $7,500 for the core program, which includes a complimentary flex semester of continued support.

Will scholarships be provided?

Yes, the Danny Zorn Scholarship supports college students with mental health challenges to pursue higher education through their participation in the Fountain House College Re-Entry program.

20% of our students are able to participate in the College Re-Entry program thanks to the Danny Zorn Scholarship Fund. The scholarship covers all College Re-Entry fees ($12,500) and provides $2,000* to help offset educational expenses associated with returning to college. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements outlined in the program application found here: Scholarship Application

*upon successful completion of the Core program
